Kuala Lumpur 2020 Workshop 3

"Futures Studies in Postnormal Times"

Workshop

31 January - 2 February, 2020 - Tamu Hotel & Suites, Kampung Baru

As a follow up to the two previous workshops (‘Islam and Futures Literacy’ and ‘Creating Futures: From Literacy to Fluency’), this workshop will introduce the notion of ‘postnormal times’ and use its approach and concepts to study and explore alternative futures. Participants will learn to deal with complexity and contradictions, uncertainty and ignorance, and engage in exclusive hands-on training to investigate different futures for different tomorrows, and identify potential postnormal futures for Malaysia.
