What is This All About?

The Welcome to Postnormal Times is an Exhibition about change. It’s not just that change is accelerating but the very nature of change itself is changing. This is not happening in isolation. It is a global phenomenon as readily visible in London as it is in Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition explores our changing times with real world, examples, and explains the theoretical elements of postnormal times theory.

The Exhibition, a collaboration between the International Institute of Islamic Thought, East and Southeast Asia (IIIT) and the Centre for Postnormal Policy and Futures Studies (CPPFS), takes the audience on a visual, experiential and pedagogical journey. It provokes questions about recent issues and developments and offers a better way to navigate all our futures.

To move beyond postnormal times, we need to think deeply about how we live and act, the choices we make, and the way we imagine our futures.

Postnormal Times Theory and the insights from the field of futures studies explored in this exhibition aided greatly in the development of Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s MADANI policy framework. This is the first exhibition of its kind in Malaysia and is free and open to the public.
